EMDR training for clinicians who want to create meaningful change

Evidence based, trauma informed training designed to build confidence, competence and clinical impact.

EMDR is an integrative evidence-based, client-centred psychotherapy to treat PTSD, and a wide range of other psychological difficulties, and somatic symptoms. EMDR Therapy is transdiagnostic in its approach with the aim of healing trauma and assisting recovery toward adaptive functioning in the present and future. EMDR is suitable for children and adults alike.

Basic EMDR Training

Our program offers the full 50 hours required to become fully trained in EMDR delivered as a full program.

Unlike programs offering EMDR Basic Training in 2 phases (Level 1 and Level 2) we believe that teaching the full program in one course equips clinicians with a more comprehensive understanding of EMDR as well as being able to “hit the ground running” once they have completed the training.

What Our Trainees Say

I was fortunate to be trained in EMDR by Dee Cooper. The training course was excellent, and Dee demonstrated a thorough understanding of the theory, principles, and practice of this therapy, which made for an inspiring learning experience.

In group and individual supervision since my training, Dee has never failed to help with case formulation questions, or with advice about how to make my EMDR therapy better suit an individual client.

Anna and Dee are two incredibly passionate and experienced EMDR trainers who bring a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to their trainings. They are supportive as trainers and are interested in adapting EMDR trainings to meet learnings needs where possible.

I would highly recommend their training especially if you are keen to understand how to use EMDR in a range of areas and with a broad range of humans.

Anna-Michele teaches EMDR the way the clients show up in your room.
She takes you through the protocol properly -  the curriculum, the structure, the foundations you need, but she doesn’t pretend that’s the whole picture. She works extensively with complex trauma herself, so she understands that most of the clients who end up in your room aren’t the clean single-incident case the textbook and trainings are written around. She names that, she makes space for it, normalises it, all whilst holding fidelity of the 8-phases and always bringing you back to that

I find Dee’s encouraging and collaborative approach to training and group consultation empowering and confidence building.

Dee’s deep practice wisdom and her extensive subject knowledge mean all the consultees benefit from seeing how theory can be put into practice.

Engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, inclusive, practical, interactive, comprehensive, inspiring, positive, provides a safe environment to raise issues and discuss differing views and opinions, and empowering.

Dee’s consultation has been invaluable for me in working with complex presentations. I find her insight and expertise in working with complex trauma invaluable. I will often come to consultation stuck and uncertain about where to go with a particular client, and will come away with multiple areas to explore, whether that is additional history-taking, resourcing techniques, or strategies to titrate or focus processing.

Her thorough knowledge of the EMDR protocol has helped me to adhere to standards, and at the same time make necessary adaptations when working with complex trauma and dissociation. Her supervisory style is warm and supportive, and she creates a safe space for us to explore our own parts and their responses to our clients, ensuring that we live by what we practice.
— Dr Miro Rainsford
Anna is an incredibly warm and respectful individual, with a style that builds real confidence while staying very human and grounded. She teaches in a way that feels collaborative and deeply attuned, helping you not just understand the model but really connect with it in your own clinical work. I’ve found her trainings to be safe, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive, which makes it easier to be open about uncertainty and actually grow.

Anna has not only helped me feel more confident being open about my vulnerabilities, but she also has a real ability to recognise and strengthen what I’m already doing well. I consistently leave supervision with a clearer path forward, and feeling more grounded, capable, and ready to put the work into practice.
