PSYCHOLOGIST
EMDR ACCREDITED CONSULTANT AND TRAINER
Hi there, I’m Anna-Michéle (Anna) (she/her/ally). I am a person of colour, a migrant woman, variably abled, and proud to live and work on Whadjuk Noongar Country in Perth, Western Australia. Professionally I am a Senior Psychologist, Board Approved Supervisor, EMDR Practitioner, Consultant, and the first EMDRAA-Accredited Trainer of Colour. And of course a trainer for Adaptive Edge EMDR.
My EMDR journey began in my work with survivors of early childhood trauma, where I witnessed just how powerful EMDR can be in helping people process painful experiences and reconnect with a sense of self, safety, and possibility. That work continues to shape everything I do.
Over time, my clinical focus has grown with special interest complex trauma, dissociation, neuroaffirming practice, identity, and the ways culture and lived experience shape how we heal. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: people are never just a diagnosis, and healing happens in relationship, context, and care.
Alongside my clinical practice, I now have the privilege of teaching and consulting with therapists on their EMDR learning journeys as an EMDRAA Accredited Trainer. I love this part of my work deeply. I’ve been described “an incredibly warm and respectful individual, with a training style that builds real confidence while staying very human and grounded” and “authentic, knowledgeable, and straightforward” as a trainer, and I aim to create spaces where people feel safe enough to be curious, ask questions, and learn without fear of getting it “wrong”.
I have had the privilege of training psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychiatrist and other allied health professionals and pride myself on adapting your training to meet the needs of people in the room. Whether you are just beginning your EMDR journey or deepening your practice, my hope is that you feel supported, seen, and genuinely welcomed in the learning process.
I look forward to walking alongside you in your EMDR learning journey.
